How Okta and incentX work together
The Okta integration adds single sign-on and user provisioning through Okta to incentX, an incentives and compensation platform. People sign in to incentX with the Okta credentials they use for their other work apps, and IT decides who has access from Okta rather than a separate user list. incentX provides the integration, and it’s listed in the Okta Integration Network.
What the Okta integration covers
One Okta sign-in for reps and finance
Sales reps checking their earnings and finance staff approving payouts both reach incentX through their usual Okta sign-in, and nobody has an incentX password to manage. The sign-on policies you set in Okta, including MFA requirements, apply to incentX the same way they apply to your other assigned apps.
Access managed from Okta
Provisioning and permission updates flow from Okta, so IT isn’t keeping a second list of incentX users. Assign incentX to a new rep in Okta and they can sign in. Remove the assignment when someone changes roles or leaves, and their access ends.
A named person behind every change
Everyone signs in through their own Okta account, so incentX can tie each action to a specific person. The field-level audit log stores every edit with the field name, the value before and after, and who made it. Payout approvals, which can require several levels of sign-off, are logged against the originating transaction.
How setup works
- Your Okta admin finds incentX in the Okta Integration Network, adds it to your org, and assigns the people and groups who need access.
- Working with IT in the integration phase, an incentX implementation engineer sets up the connection and runs test sign-ins before launch.
- On launch, everyone assigned in Okta signs in through it. Your team also gets a dedicated success manager, along with admin training and user onboarding.
Okta integration FAQ
Does incentX integrate with Okta?
Yes. incentX is listed in the Okta Integration Network and supports single sign-on and user provisioning through Okta. People sign in with the Okta credentials they already have, and IT manages who can reach incentX from Okta. Teams that use Microsoft for identity can connect incentX to Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) instead.
How do we give or remove incentX access in Okta?
Assign incentX to a person or group in Okta to give them access, and remove the assignment to take it away. IT doesn’t have to maintain a second user list inside incentX. Because incentX includes unlimited users with no per-seat fees, assigning more people doesn’t change the price.
What security does incentX have beyond Okta sign-in?
Apart from sign-in, incentX holds SOC 2 Type II certification, uses TLS 1.2+ for data in transit, and stores data with AES-256 encryption. A field-level audit log tracks every change to every record, and payouts can require multi-level sign-off before release. External auditors can get that trail on demand, along with your finance and legal teams.
